Jen Landis Ruff PA-C, MHS
Jen completed her Bachelor of Science degree in healthcare and hospital marketing from Clemson University in 2007 and her Masters in Health Sciences in Physician Assistant studies from South College in Knoxville in 2013. She brings extensive knowledge from her experience in the ER and starting her own skincare company. Jen is passionate about helping patients and maximizing their health potential. She is excited to join a passionate team who truly put patients first to provide the best vascular surgery care. She will be assisting Dr. Ryan in the OR, performing vein procedures, and seeing patients in clinic. In her free time, Jen loves spending time with her daughter Avery and husband Jeff. They love to travel, and go hiking with their dog Henley. 

Susan Ryan
Assistant Manager, Pharmacist
Susan is a vital part of the Nashville Vascular and Vein Institute. Since Dr. Ryan started his private practice in early 2014, her job descriptions of wife and mother have expanded to include business partner and assistant manager. Susan brings her own medical background to NVAVI with a BS degree in Pharmacy from the Medical University of South Carolina. She worked as a pharmacist for more than 10 years in retail and hospital settings. Most recently, she was employed at a long-term health care facility. Her favorite part about working in the office is being able to meet the patients and see the improvement in their quality of life. She and Dr. Ryan have lived in Nashville since 2004 and enjoy spending time with their twin daughters, Ava and Ingrid.

Renea Taylor
Office Manager
Renea joined our practice in December 2020. She brings with her over thirty years experience in the medical field. With the last twenty years being spent in medical management. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends and learning about photography. Renea lives in Pegram, TN with her husband Brian, her son Will and their two dogs Gunner and Tank.

Derek Lee
Registered Vascular Technologist
Derek performs ultrasounds here at NVAVI. He received his education at Middle Tennessee State University in his hometown of Murfreesboro, Tennessee. He later completed his training at the Florida Institute of Ultrasound, specializing in vascular ultrasounds. Derek has worked with Dr. Ryan for over 14 years. He is always willing to answer questions and takes the time to put patients at ease and help them feel more comfortable. While he loves all sports, Derek is a huge University of Tennessee fan and always pulls for the Big Orange. But his biggest job doesn’t even begin until after work. He and his wife Sonya have five children, four sons and one daughter!

Tonya Turner
Registered Medical Assistant
Tonya received her medical assistant training at Remington College and has been working for Dr. Ryan for over 10 years. Interacting with patients is her favorite part of working in Dr. Ryan’s practice. She puts patients at ease with her sense of humor and contagious laugh. Tonya also has over 20 years experience as a safety supervisor and lab technician at a manufacturing facility. Tonya enjoys spending her free time with her husband David and their two children, Clayton and Steely.

Allison Duhl
Registered Vascular Technologist
Allison has been performing vascular ultrasounds for over 15 years. She is a mother to one son, Logan. She is a true “Nashville Native”; she and her family are all from the area. Her favorite hobbies are making plant creations, reading, and crafting. In the summer, she loves spending time at the pool and on patios. Her favorite part of working at NVAVI is getting to know her patients and spending time with her coworkers.

Ashlee Linton
Medical Assistant
Ashlee has over 20 years of medical and surgical experience. Helping patients through what is often very scary is the most rewarding part of her job. Ashlee lives in Bowling Green, KY with her husband Chad, and they have two adult children, Trace and Callee. Ashlee loves spending her free time shopping and decorating her home. She enjoys watching Ohio State football and professional hockey.

Laura Rubin 
Registered Vascular Technologists
Laura moved from upper New York to attend Vanderbilt’s ultrasound program. She has now been performing ultrasounds for over nine years. She says the best part of her job is getting to know her patients and making a difference in their lives. Laura enjoys spending her time off with her fur baby, Walter, traveling and watching the New York Giants.
