Dr. Ryan is married to Susan Ryan and has twin daughters, Ava and Ingrid. They moved to Nashville in 2004. Dr. Ryan trained at the Medical University of South Carolina, Carilion Health Care System in Virginia and the University of Kansas. His professional interests include quality and outcomes measurement in vascular surgery, lifestyle improvement strategies for patients and advanced limb salvage endovascular and open surgery. Dr. Ryan has been recognized for his efforts in quality and outcomes measurement by being named to several national quality committees for the Society for Vascular Surgery and the Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services. He was named a “Healthcare Hero” by the Nashville Business Journal in the category of quality. Dr. Ryan has been recognized locally for his experience and superior results in all aspects of vascular surgery compared to his peers. He is in high demand due to his forward thinking in the total health and wellness of the patient. Preventative medicine is the cornerstone of his practice. In his spare time, Dr. Ryan enjoys reading, hiking, traveling, boating and spending time with family..
